Robert Rich – May We Find Our Way

This 95 minute continuum could be chapter two of “Long Tail of the Quiet Gong” released in 2024, although it has different textures because I am using different acoustic sources, and new methods to process the original instruments. I intend these pieces to act as functional music, hovering at the periphery of the senses yet rewarding attention, perhaps to offer interesting textures for creative work or reverie. You might notice elements of dissonance hovering around the edges, almost strident at times. I consider these important contrasts, perhaps not typical tension and release, more like shadows from passing clouds. – RR, 5/25
